The Memorial of Peter O’Toole - an icon of stage and screen.
Engaged by Kate O’Toole to project manage and produce the Memorial of her father, Hollywood legend, Peter O’Toole. The celebratory event, directed by Tom Morris and attended by a star-studded audience that included the President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, comprised carefully selected readings, poetry, music and anecdotes performed by a host of stars, and was held at London’s Old Vic Theatre.
“It was a triumph, and the hero of the party would have ADORED it.”
“Some 350 people – among them the president and actors Jeremy Irons, Stephen Fry and Omar Sharif – yesterday gathered for an energetic celebration of the life of the actor who became a worldwide star for his performance in ‘Lawrence of Arabia’.”
“Several hundred actors including Stephen Fry, Stephen Rea, Sinead Cusack and Jeremy Irons gathered in the Old Vic theatre in London yesterday for Still Loitering, a celebration of O’Toole’s life and work [...] Everywhere there were stories. Through the laughter, and there was much of it, there were tears, too.”
